40-Year-Old Woman Arrested In KwaZulu-Natal Over DJ Warras Murder

A 40-year-old woman wanted in connection with the murder of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been arrested in KwaZulu-Natal.

The woman was arrested in the Ngcengeni area of Msinga on Wednesday afternoon after police received information that she was hiding at a local homestead.

Detectives and Visible Policing members followed up on the information and found the suspect at the property, where she was arrested.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda confirmed the arrest.

“Police in Msinga have arrested a 40-year-old woman who was wanted in connection with the murder of DJ Warras, who was killed in December 2025 in Gauteng,” Netshiunda said.

He said the suspect would be handed over to Gauteng police for further handling.

“The suspect will be handed over to Gauteng police for further handling,” he said.

Suspect Identified As Hlengiwe Buthelezi

The arrest follows a nationwide search for , whom police identified in August as the third suspect wanted in connection with Stock’s murder.

Gauteng police confirmed on Thursday morning that the woman arrested in Msinga was Buthelezi.

Stock was shot and killed in the Johannesburg CBD on 16 December 2025.

Police had been searching for Buthelezi as the investigation into the killing continued.

Two Other Accused Already Before Court

Two men have previously been arrested in connection with Stock’s murder.

Mozambican national Armando Joaquim Pacula, 25, pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison earlier this month.

Another accused, Victor Majola, remains before the High Court in Johannesburg.

The State has alleged that Majola, 44, was the mastermind behind the killing. He faces charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Majola was previously denied bail.

His matter was postponed to 18 September to allow him additional time to secure funding for his legal representation.

Buthelezi To Face Johannesburg Court

Buthelezi is expected to be transferred to Gauteng and brought before the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.

Her arrest adds another accused person to the ongoing investigation into Stock’s killing as prosecutors continue building their case against those allegedly involved.

The allegations against Buthelezi have not been tested in court, and she remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
