Trial Of Tiffany Meek Postponed After Prosecutor Falls Ill

The case involving Tiffany Nicole Meek, who is accused of murdering her 11-year-old son, Jayden Lee Meek, has been postponed to October.

Meek appeared at the Johannesburg High Court for the continuation of her trial. She is accused of killing Jayden, who she had initially reported missing in May 2025, saying he had failed to return home from school.

The matter is now expected to resume on 26 and 27 October 2026, when the court is scheduled to consider findings from a previous inspection of the apartment building.

Scholar Transport Driver Accused

During the trial, the court heard evidence from the scholar transport driver who said Meek had allegedly accused him of being involved in her son's disappearance.

According to the driver, the allegation affected his business and resulted in him being ostracised by members of the community.

Court Inspected Apartment Building

Jayden's death caused significant concern in the Fleurhof community, where he and his mother lived.
