Jacob Zuma Hospitalised In A Pietermaritzburg Hospital

Former President Jacob Zuma has been admitted to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg for what the MK Party describes as a routine medical check-up.

The MK Party said Zuma undergoes the check-up twice a year and is “healthy and in good spirits”.

A close family associate, however, said Zuma had been feeling unwell, although the condition was not serious.

The party said his campaign is expected to continue on Friday.

Zuma served as president from May 2009 to February 2018 before resigning after the ANC recalled him.

He later formed the MK Party in 2023 after being expelled from the ANC.
