Feroz Khan Associate Killed In R21 Shooting Near OR Tambo Airport
Gauteng police are investigating a murder and attempted murder after a shooting on the R21 towards OR Tambo International Airport left one person dead and another injured.

Gauteng police have launched a murder and attempted murder investigation following a shooting on the R21 towards OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Monday night.
The Johannesburg Times understands that the deceased is Preggy Padayachee, described as a close associate and uncle-in-law of fired top cop Maj-Gen Feroz Khan.
Police have not publicly confirmed the identity of the deceased. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
Driver Killed In Gunfire
Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said preliminary information indicated that the driver of a Fiat experienced a breakdown and contacted a friend for assistance.
The friend arrived at the scene with two other people.
“As they were attending to the vehicle, shots were fired at them. The driver attempted to evade the gunfire but lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a barrier,” Nevhuhulwi said.

The driver sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
One passenger suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital for medical treatment, while the third occupant escaped unharmed.
Police Search For Those Responsible
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify those responsible.
The motive remains unclear, and investigators have not announced any arrests in connection with the incident.
The shooting comes as Khan is expected to testify behind closed doors before the Madlanga Commission on Tuesday.
